THE CELEBRATION OF THE ESTRELLA DAMM MEDITERRANEAN LADIES OPEN CONFIRMS DATE AND VENUE

19 abril 2018

The second edition of the Estrella Damm Mediterranean Ladies Open, tournament integrated into the European ladies professional golf circuit, has already confirmed its date and venue. The best players of the Ladies European Tour will once again measure their strenghts in Barcelona, at Terramar Club de Golf in Sitges, between 20th and 23rd September 2018, generating, if possible, a greater show than the one produced in its first edition last year.

The re-election of the venue is not the result of a mere chance. The excellence of the course and the professionalism of its human capital were part of the success in 2017 and will surely do so again in this second edition.

The Terramar Golf Club is famous for its design and location. Bathed by the waters of the Mediterranean sea, the tour of its course hides numerous challenges that bring show to the tournament.

The Estrella Damm Mediterranean Ladies Open will take place with the sweet reminiscence of the enormous success of its celebration last year, when the participation of great players and the high attendance of public turned it into a top event.

In fact it was declared “event of special importance” by the City Council of Sitges, where the golf course for this important tournament celebration is located , as well as it has been included in the list of “exceptionally interesting events” within the “Universo Mujer” Program.

This great international competition will bring together the best professional female golfers of the European continent, eager to relive the experience of the first edition surrounded by the affection of a fully dedicated audience, ready to give them show and desiring to take home the Estrella Damm Trophy.

Last year, the winner was the english Florentyna Parker, who overcame in playoff the swedish Anna Nordqvist and the spanish Carlota Ciganda after a heart-stopping final day.
The entrance to live and watch the Estrella Damm Mediterranean Ladies Open show will be free during the days of the competition and the event will be broadcasted live by Movistar Golf+ for all those who cannot travel to the Terramar Golf Club.
