On March 12, the eleventh edition of the Santander Golf Tour, a professional women’s golf circuit featuring eight tournaments held throughout the season in different locations across Spain, was presented at the headquarters of the Royal Spanish Golf Federation.

The presentation was attended by Juan Guerrero-Burgos, president of the Royal Spanish Golf Federation; Víctor Allende, director of Santander Private Banking Spain; and Alicia Garrido, director of the Santander Golf Tour.

Juan Guerrero-Burgos, president of the Royal Spanish Golf Federation, highlighted during the event the importance of this circuit in the development of professional women’s golf in Spain: “First of all, I would like to thank Banco Santander for its continued support of this circuit, which after eleven editions is now well established and enjoys greater prestige every year. I would also like to thank Deporte & Business for the magnificent work they do and all the sponsors and golf courses that make this project possible. Spanish women’s golf is going through a great moment and circuits such as the Santander Golf Tour are essential for players to continue growing and make the leap to the major international circuits,” he said.

For his part, Víctor Allende, director of Santander Private Banking Spain, highlighted the continuity of the project and the bank’s commitment to the development of women’s golf through this circuit: “We are proud to support a circuit such as the Santander Golf Tour, which offers players a space to compete, gain experience, and develop their professional careers. In addition, this project allows us to share golf with many of our customers, who enjoy unique days alongside the players. Added to all this is the charitable dimension of the circuit, which this year will support the Aladina Foundation, an organization that does extraordinary work with children with cancer and their families,” he explained.

Alicia Garrido, director of the Santander Golf Tour, was responsible for presenting the main sporting details of the 2026 season, as well as the calendar of events that will make up this eleventh edition of the circuit: “The Santander Golf Tour continues to grow year after year and break records. We have already visited more than thirty courses in Spain and more and more clubs want to host a tournament on the circuit. This year we have three new venues: Mediterráneo Golf, Golf Xaz and Castillo de Gorraiz, which join the circuit’s regular courses such as Larrabea, Pedreña, Golf Santander, Zaudín and Empordà. Our goal remains the same: to offer players the opportunity to compete on the best courses in Spain and in conditions similar to those they will find on the major international circuits, and all this is possible thanks to our sponsors and partners,” he said.

The Santander Golf Tour will begin its calendar at Mediterráneo Golf (Castellón) with the Birdie Challenge, which will be held on March 27 and 28. After the opening event, the tour will travel to Golf Xaz (A Coruña) for the second event of the season on May 13 and 14, before moving on to the Larrabea Golf Club (Álava), which will host the third event on the calendar on May 27 and 28.

Summer will bring one of the most important competitions of the year, the Spanish Women’s Professional Championship, which will be held from July 16 to 18 at the Castillo de Gorraiz Golf Club (Navarra), an iconic course that will host a Santander Golf Tour event for the first time.

After the summer break, the circuit will resume competition at the Real Golf de Pedreña (Cantabria), where the traditional doubles tournament will take place on September 23 and 24. Next, the Santander Golf Tour will stop at Golf Santander (Madrid) to celebrate a new edition of the Pro-Am Leyendas, a special event on the calendar that brings together some of the great figures of the sport.

The season will conclude with two final events in the latter part of the year. Zaudín Golf (Seville) will host the penultimate event on the calendar on October 28 and 29 in individual stroke play format, while the circuit will close at Empordà Golf (Old Course, Girona) from November 12 to 14, with the event co-sanctioned by the LET Access Series, the satellite circuit of the Ladies European Tour.

The Santander Golf Tour is Banco Santander’s firm commitment to professional women’s golf, celebrating its eleventh season in 2026. With eight tournaments throughout Spain—some part of higher circuits such as the LETAS—it is supported by Banco Santander and Santander Private Banking as main sponsors, together with Carmignac and Santander Seguros. Turismo Costa del Sol, Bodegas Homenaje, Mahou, and PING also act as co-sponsors of the circuit. The Royal Spanish Golf Federation, together with the other regional federations, provide the rest of the essential support for this tour.
