  • The prestigious Malaga club will host the Ladies European Tour Grand Final for the second consecutive year, from 27 to 30 November
  • Guadalhorce passed the 2024 challenge with flying colours, providing a setting worthy of Carlota Ciganda’s historic victory

The Real Guadalhorce Golf Club, one of the most iconic venues in Andalusian golf, will once again host the 2025 Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España presented by Oysho, the final event of the Ladies European Tour (LET) season, which will be held from 27 to 30 November. This will be the second consecutive time that the Malaga club has hosted the most important women’s golf tournament in Spain, thus consolidating its position as a leading venue for major international events.

The 2024 edition marked a turning point for Guadalhorce. For the first time in its history, it hosted a women’s tournament on the European circuit, and the result could not have been more satisfactory. Over four days, the course offered a technical challenge of the highest level and an unbeatable setting, earning unanimous praise from players, coaches and fans alike. The tournament concluded with an emotional victory for Carlota Ciganda, who won her second Spanish Open after a thrilling duel with Manon De Roey, putting the finishing touch to a record-breaking season for the LET.

For Ángel Gancedo Arjona, president of the club, ‘hosting this great tournament again is recognition of a job well done. In 2024, we will show that Guadalhorce has everything it takes to host a grand final: a demanding course, first-class facilities and a dedicated team. It will be a pleasure to open our doors once again to the best women’s golf in Europe.’

The Real Guadalhorce Club de Golf course, a par 72 with two clearly differentiated rounds, challenges players with its variety of holes and fast, technical greens. Redesigned by Miguel Ángel Jiménez in 2007 based on the original layout by Kosti Kuronen, the course is part of Spain’s golfing heritage. Its history is also linked to the big names on the national scene, with Jiménez himself winning the Spanish Men’s Professional Championship in 1999 and 2002.

In 2024, this same course was the scene where Carlota Ciganda signed a memorable final round, overcoming the obstacles of the layout and the pressure from Manon De Roey to win with -18 and a one-stroke advantage over the Belgian. The crowd also witnessed the self-confidence of the young amateur from Madrid, Andrea Revuelta, who finished fifth and won the Celia Barquín Award for the best amateur in the tournament.

But Guadalhorce is much more than just a challenging course. The club is nestled on the grounds of Cortijo Colmenares, the former residence of the Marquises of Larios in the 18th century, and its clubhouse, an Andalusian farmhouse complete with a chapel, offers a unique experience for both players and visitors. Its proximity to the airport and the centre of Malaga makes the club a strategic venue for the organisation of the tournament, as well as an ideal showcase for promoting Andalusian and Spanish golf to the world.

The Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España 2025 presented by Oysho will bring together the 72 best players on the LET, as well as the three best Spanish amateurs, and will award €700,000 in prize money, putting the finishing touch to a dream season. And it will do so, once again, in a setting that has already proven itself to be among the best in the world.
