Official Santander Golf Tour Ranking
The Santander Golf Tour 2025 resumes competition on 8–9 October at Club de Campo Laukariz (Course A) to kick off a final stretch that is as exciting as it is demanding. From there, the calendar will be relentless: Real Club de Golf La Peñaza (23–24 October) and Real Club de Golf de La Coruña (29–30 October) will host the seventh and eighth rounds of the circuit, before the Doubles Championship at Club Zaudín Golf (5–6 November) and the finale from 19 to 21 November with the Santander Spanish Women’s Professional Championship, which will be held for the first time on the Heathland course at La Hacienda Links Golf Resort.
The first part of the year has confirmed the equality of the circuit with four different winners in the four scoring events played to date. Dutch player Lauren Holmey opened the season with her first professional victory at Empordà Golf after a thrilling final day in which she beat María Herráez, winner of the 2024 circuit ranking. Amaia Latorre took over at the Parador de El Saler Golf Course, controlling the tournament from start to finish and securing her third victory on the Santander Golf Tour. At Real Golf de Pedreña, Marta Spiazzi staged a comeback to remember in the Match Play final with a streak of seven consecutive birdies to defeat Catalonia’s Paz Marfá, while at Golf Naturávila, Mexico’s Alejandra Llaneza won a thrilling playoff against Holmey and Justice Bosio in the event jointly organised by the Santander Golf Tour and the LET Access Series. In the fifth event of the season (the last one held to date), the public enjoyed two days of the Pro-Am Leyendas at Golf Santander, a classic event on the circuit which, although not counting towards the overall ranking, once again brought together leading figures in Spanish women’s golf.
As a result, the standings are very close going into the final stretch of the season. Holmey maintains the lead with less than 1,000 points over Llaneza. Behind them, the battle for the top spots involves Marina Escobar, Marta Spiazzi and Amaia Latorre, with Paz Marfà, Charlotte Liautier and Lucie André close behind.
The return to C.C. Laukariz will set the tone for this final sprint: a course that rewards good play from the tee and distance control on demanding greens. R.C.G. La Peñaza will demand strategy and technique beyond just power, while R.C.G. La Coruña will add the coastal factor to an always competitive layout. The Zaudín Golf Club Doubles, the favourite format of the players on the circuit, will change the pace with shared tactical decisions and pair synergies that will be fundamental to the final victory. Finally, the Spanish Women’s Professional Championship at La Hacienda L.G.R. will put the finishing touch with three days of maximum tension and the national title at stake.
Beyond the prestige of each victory, the final prize is decisive: the winner of the Santander Golf Tour ranking will gain direct access to the final phase of the LET Qualifying School (Q-School) to compete for a card on Europe’s top circuit, as well as an invitation to the 2025 Andalucía Costa del Sol Open de España presented by Oysho. With everything still to be decided and two demanding months ahead, the outcome of the season promises to be one of the most memorable in recent times.
