On April 18, BMW Bertolín, the first official BMW dealership in Spain and the oldest in Europe, held a new edition of its social tournament at Club de Golf Escorpión, further consolidating its status as a must-attend event within the Valencian club’s calendar.
True to its style, the dealership once again focused on delivering a meticulously curated experience, combining sporting competition with a comprehensive showcase of its product universe. Throughout the weekend, attendees had the opportunity to discover a selection of BMW models, with a strong presence of the X range, including proposals such as the new BMW iX3 and iX6, alongside other models like the new M5. The exhibition was completed with MINI vehicles and a selection of BMW Motorrad motorcycles, both electric and combustion-powered, reflecting the breadth and versatility of BMW Bertolín.
On the sporting side, the tournament brought together 172 players, reaching full capacity. With tee times running from early morning until mid-afternoon, participants competed on the Masía and Lagos courses, two of the three 9-hole layouts that make up the club, presented in excellent condition and accompanied by ideal weather throughout the day.
The competition, played under the individual Stableford format, once again rewarded the best players across the usual categories: scratch, ladies, first and second men’s categories, as well as nearest-to-the-pin contests on holes 6 and 13.
The awards ceremony, held after the competition, recognized the winners in each category. In scratch, Alfonso Maldonado claimed victory, while Lucía de Miguel triumphed in the ladies’ category—creating the curious coincidence of a married couple both winning their respective categories. In the first men’s category, Jaime Febrer took the win, while Joaquín Maldonado secured victory in the second category. Meanwhile, the nearest-to-the-pin prizes on holes 6 and 13 went to Cristina García, José Luis Mellado, Andrea Tomás, Pascual Segura, and Ignacio Castejón. The event concluded with the traditional raffle among participants, where BMW Bertolín once again paid attention to every detail with a range of branded gifts, alongside the collaboration of EsseCafé.
During the event, Fátima Bertolín, the dealership’s manager, highlighted the value of such initiatives: “For us, this tournament is a way to share with our clients and friends an experience that goes beyond golf and automotive. It’s a way of conveying how we understand the brand: closeness, quality, and attention to detail.”
With initiatives like this, BMW Bertolín continues to demonstrate that the combination of golf, automotive excellence, and personalized attention is a formula that never goes out of style—renewing itself each year to keep surprising those who trust the brand.
