The Parador de El Saler Golf Course hosts the second round of the Santander Golf Tour 2025

- The Santander Golf Tour arrives in Valencia with a special event taking place on 9 and 10 April
- Thirty-eight players from twelve different countries will compete in a tournament that offers numerous sporting attractions
This morning saw the presentation of the second event of the Santander Golf Tour season, which will be held on 9 and 10 April at the Parador de El Saler Golf Course (Valencia). The tournament will feature 38 players from 12 different countries, and will be the second time that this course has hosted a Santander Golf Tour event.
The presentation ceremony was attended by Francisco Contreras, director of the Parador and El Saler Golf Course; Guillermo Jiménez, vice-president of the Valencian Community Golf Federation; Rubén Flores, commercial director of Santander Private Banking in the Valencian Community and Murcia; Cristina de Dueñas, head of Marketing and Events at Santander Private Banking; Marta Pérez, professional player on the circuit and winner in 2024 at Izki Golf; and Alicia Garrido Villacieros, director of the Santander Golf Tour.
Francisco Contreras, director of the Parador and El Saler Golf Course, thanked those present for attending and was delighted with the event: ‘We were really looking forward to hosting such an important circuit again. Working with Banco Santander, Deporte & Business and a cast of top-level players is a wonderful challenge and we are sure it will be a great success.’ As for the challenges the players might face this week, he commented: ‘The wind will undoubtedly play a key role. El Saler is a Scottish links course with a Mediterranean climate, which will require the professionals to give their best in order to achieve a good result, although we are sure it will be a great spectacle as the level is very high.’ Finally, Contreras wanted to highlight the sustainability of the course: ‘This is a commitment that has been in place since 1928 and goes even beyond sustainability: it is the daily regeneration of everything we see, including the fauna, flora and all the species that surround us. This commitment is a fundamental part of our daily management.’

Alicia Garrido, director of the Santander Golf Tour, highlighted the importance of the event, not only because of the competition for the winner’s trophy, but also because of the added incentives: “This is a truly special event held here at the Parador de El Saler Golf Course. On this occasion, the players who finish in the top two positions in the ranking at the end of the tournament will receive an invitation to the Super Bock Ladies Open, a LET Access Series event to be held at Vidago Golf (Portugal) from 6 to 8 May. In addition to that, the best-ranked player after the Pedreña tournament will earn a place in the Tenerife Women’s Open, a Ladies European Tour tournament, which demonstrates the importance of our circuit and its growth year after year.” Finally, he highlighted the importance of sponsors, partners, federations and the press for the success of the Santander Golf Tour, as well as its ongoing support for various social causes, such as this year’s fundraising for the Prodis Foundation.
Tomorrow will see the Pro-Am, where customers will have the opportunity to share the course with the circuit’s professionals. On Wednesday, the official tournament will get underway, marking the start of a new Santander Golf Tour event, which on this occasion returns to one of our country’s most iconic courses.
