She made her debut during the presentation ceremony of the European Nations Cup 2009, and although that was barely a year ago she has already become the official tournament mascot. Birdy is fun and friendly and able to bring a smile to the faces of players and spectators alike. Her energy is contagious and she has become a true, pink, tournament symbol.
Dressed up in cap, skirt, leggings and shoes in bright pink, the official colour of the tournament, Birdy shares the best moments of the competition with the players and fans.
Birdy is taking part in all the events prior to the tournament as well as the four days of the competition.in order to make the tournament different and to add an element of fun and sparkle to this spectacular event.
This was clearly demonstrated in her interactions with the Americans, Beth Daniel and Meg Mallon - stars of the US Tour, Laura Davies from England and Gwladys Nocera from France. Birdy has already become a central figure in the heart of this tournament.
